Chapter 2 of 7

For house-hunters

How it works

Searching is free and needs no account. You only sign in to keep a shortlist or to see an owner’s number — and there is no password, just a code we email you.

Four steps, start to finish

  1. Search without an account

Filter by area, budget and bedrooms. Every result is a home someone has actually put on the market — nothing needs signing up for, and nothing is hidden behind a fee.

  2. Shortlist what you like

Save the homes worth seeing. One code signs you in, and your shortlist follows you from your phone to your laptop.

  3. Call or ask for a callback

Call the owner where the listing shows a number, or leave yours and they call you back. A callback needs no account.

  4. Deal directly with the owner

You meet whoever is letting the place. We do not take a cut of your rent and we do not charge you to view.

What you pay for, and what you don't

Nobody here should ask you for money to be shown a house. If someone does, report the listing.

Renting safely
Do I need an account to search for a house?

No. Searching, filtering and opening any listing needs no account at all. You only sign in to keep a shortlist across devices or to see an owner’s number, and signing in is a code we email you — there is no password.

Is it free for house-hunters?

Yes. Searching, opening listings, calling an owner and asking for a callback are all free.

What does a "verified" listing mean?

A verified home is fed from a live property-management system, so its availability is tied to the actual unit: it goes up when the unit is free and comes down the day someone moves in. A verified lister is separately identity-checked before they can publish.

How do I know a listing is not a scam?

Every lister confirms a phone number and an email, and must pass an identity check before anything they post goes live. Beyond that: never send money before you have seen the house, and read our renting-safely guide — it lists the specific things worth refusing.

Do you charge a viewing fee to see a house?

We do not. Nobody on this marketplace should be asking you for money simply to open a door — if that happens, report the listing.

Can I talk to the owner or agent directly?

Yes. Call from the listing, or ask for a callback — your name and number go straight to whoever is letting the place, so they can call you back.

How current are the listings?

Homes fed from a management system update themselves as units fill and empty. Listings posted directly by a landlord or broker have to be re-confirmed to stay up, so a listing nobody has stood behind recently drops out of search rather than sitting there forever.

I am a landlord — how do I list my property?

Create a lister account with your phone number, verify your email, then complete an identity check (National ID or KRA PIN). Listing is free; the verification exists so house-hunters can trust what they are looking at.

Which parts of Kenya do you cover?

Coverage follows the agencies and landlords who publish here, and is deepest in Nairobi and the surrounding satellite towns today. Search an area to see exactly what is live there right now.
